Syllabus: | An analysis of the Trade Practices Act with particular reference to restrictive trade practices and consumer protection together with the role of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Knowledge of the potential legal problems relating to the way business is conducted. Knowledge of the legal obligations of business in regard to the provisions of the Trade Practices Act 1974 withparticular emphasis on restrictive trade practices and consumer protection. Knowledge of the legal significance of the sale and transfer of products and services. Knowledge of the obligations of sellers, manufacturers and importers of goods. |
