Syllabus:

The nature and sources of law. The structure and institutions of government. The legislative and judicial processes. Aspects of constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, the law of torts, the law of real and personal property and commercial law.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - A broad outline of the Australian legal system and its role. An introduction to the political and legal structure of Australia. An introduction to some of the legal rules and principles that govern Australian society and that impact on the conduct of business.
