Syllabus: | Review of research methodology and statistics. Review of scientific method, research design and process. Ethical issues relevant to research. Research reports. Research in podiatry and appraisal of literature in research design. Preparation of a research protocol (working in small groups). |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - An understanding of scientific research methods and it's application to podiatry. Demonstrated the ability to evaluate statistical analyses when reviewing literature. Reviewed the relevant literature and presented a comprehensive and rational project proposal. |
