Syllabus: | An introduction to the way in which critical thought is expressed through a variety of academic texts both written and spoken and how particular discourse features must be followed in western academic contexts. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed skills in listening and note-taking, summarising and summary writing, critical reading, essay writing, basic research and presentation. |
