Syllabus: | Focuses on specific content and themes related to meet student needs and the requirements of tertiary academic culture. Students read and respond to a variety of written and spoken texts and present an oral presentation and a researched issue. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Shown development of critical thinking, reading and listening skills such as critical analysis of text discussion and expression of views, generation of questions, drawing conclusions, oral skills associated with participation in and presentation of tutorials and seminars,information literary skills in preparation for essays, reports, and seminars, referencing skills. |
