311160 v.1 Physics and Mathematical Sciences Major (Bachelor of Science)

Introduction

This double major provides the opportunity for students to pursue their interests in physics and mathematics as joint disciplines. The double major offers in-depth study in areas of mathematics and physics which are not normally achievable in a single degree in either discipline. Graduates find employment in many diverse fields utilising high level data analysis or mathematical modelling such as mathematical and computational physics, radio astronomy, solid state physics, marine science and technology and satellite and remote sensing or in other complex environments such as financial and climatic. Graduates would also be in high demand as teachers in mathematics and physics.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
