116430 v.6 English Language Bridging Course for International Students


Introduction


The course is designed for international students needing to develop their English language proficiency in order to meet Curtin's literacy requirement.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites


This course is only available for International Students with an English proficiency level of not less than IELTS band 5 in all four skill areas, or a TOEFL score of 520 or a CUTE D (in addition to the University's standard entry requirements).

Duration and Availability


This course is one semester full-time study. Due to legislative and immigration provisions part-time mode is not available to International students.

Course Organisation


Students undertake all four units over one semester.

Additional Course Expenses


Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
