Course Overview
Bachelor Degrees prepare students to develop broad and coherent knowledge and skills in a discipline for professional work and further learning corresponding to AQF level 7 qualifications.
This course offers students the opportunity to study one or two disciplines from a wide range of majors. Students choosing only one major will be able to choose further units from the same discipline as their chosen major or may choose units from throughout the university. The first year of the course enables students to choose foundation units suitable to their needs and begin study in their chosen major(s), where appropriate.

Course Entry and Completion Details

Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis. Course Organisation
Bachelor Degrees typically contain a series of units which may include compulsory (core), optional or elective units to cater for student preferences. They may contain a range of majors, streams and/or minors/specialisations for students to choose from to pursue learning in a specialised area of study. Students can take no more than 250 credit points of first year level units.
This course offers students the opportunity to study one or two disciplines from a wide range of majors. Students choosing only one major will be able to choose further elective units from any discipline across the university. The first year of the course enables students to choose foundation units suitable to their needs and begin study in their chosen major(s), where appropriate. Students must study one Arts major and will also have the ability to take a breadth major or up to 2 minors from any those delivered at Curtin. If you have interests outside the field of Arts you may choose complementary study area such as business, arts or languages to gain a wider skill set. Students select Two 200 credit point single majors OR One 200 credit point single major plus up to two specialisations (four units totalling 100 credit points each) or electives

A graduate of this course can:

8. demonstrate respect for human rights, cultural diversity and the particular rights of Indigenous Australians

Duration and Availability
This course is three years full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some units may be available via external study and some units may not be available in every semester. Some majors in this course are not available at all campus locations and to international students studying in Australia; please refer to information provided for individual majors.
