Marketing anticipates demands for products, services and ideas by analysing behaviour of competitors and customers, and designing products, promotion, pricing and distribution strategies. This major prepares students to organise and control marketing activities efficiently in a highly competitive and volatile environment. Graduates may join the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Institute of Management. A wide range of employment opportunities are available in Australia and overseas.

Major/Stream Learning Outcomes
A graduate of this course can:
1. apply principles and concepts in marketing theory to describe, understand, analyse and evaluate marketing issues and problems
2. critically analyse marketing problems and think creatively to generate innovative solutions across diverse cultural settings.
3. Evaluate marketing issues that impact various stakeholders including internal managers, external clients and local indigenous communities
4. generate strategic initiatives that apply current digital technologies to the development and communication of effective marketing solutions
5. apply discipline knowledge to address practical industry issues and build capacity for advancing employability and career prospects in marketing
6. integrate international perspectives into marketing issues and strategies to build global sensitivity within the marketing context

This major is available to international students studying in Australia on a study visa. This major is available online for Australian resident students and international students studying outside of Australia.
