What is a profession and professional behaviour? The important attributes of being a consultant. Developing skills for successful communication with clients. Understanding the client's needs and issues. Knowing your limits and obtaining advice where necessary. Resolving any legal or ethical conflict. Negotiating contracts and tenders. Peer review and documentation of work. Preparing the reports and letters. How to effectively present complex statistical and actuarial results to clients and as an expert witness.
