Syllabus:

Develops an understanding of the contribution of economic evaluations to public health interventions. Provides an introduction to economics and health economics in general and in health care. In addition to developing the underlying concepts students will be required to address the value bases of health economics and health care in the Australian setting. Specific issues of health measurement, economic evaluation and priority setting, equity, and remuneration and payment systems will be covered.
