Syllabus:

Strategic management in the context of a health care organisation's long term performance, efficiency and effectiveness. Development of a field study report with recommendations based upon analysis of observations, mission, vision, values and goals. External and internal environment variables and the development of strategic planning choice and evaluation method. Relevance of strategic planning to the role and functions of the nurse manager.
