Syllabus:

Chemistry of some industrial processes. The economic aspects of the industry. Process flow sheeting. Units, dimensions and conversions. States of matter, physical properties and phase equilibrium, process mass balances, recycle, purge, bypass, thermophysical properties, process energy balances, chemical reactions and equilibrium. Thermochemical data, reaction and combustion, conversion and efficiency, combined material and energy balances, differential material and energy balances.
