Linear and exponential modulation - amplitude, frequency, phase, and composite modulation schemes, and performance in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise. Passband digital transmission - ASK, PSK, FSK, M-ary signalling, coherent and non-coherent demodulation, carrier recovery and symbol clock recovery and error probabilities.
