Syllabus: | History of sedimentology. Physical properties of sediments, weathering and the sedimentary cycle. Sediment classification. Sedimentary processes. Sedimentary structures. Introduction to the study of sedimentary environments, facies and basin fill. |

Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit students will have - Understood how sedimentry processess are used to interpret modern and ancient depositional environments. |
