Syllabus:

The personal computing environment including operating system, application software, utilities, hardware and communications. Emphasis on application software such as database, and spreadsheets. Integrating and enhancing office software through use of macro, scripting and development languages. System development in a personal computer environment.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - An understanding of the personal computing environment. Developed skills in the use of Windows applications, particularly Excel and Access, demonstrated by use of VBA. Gained an understanding ofsimple program design
