Syllabus: | Appropriate aims and purposes. Learning experiences to fit those aims. Organising and structuring of these experiences. Media and strategies which might be used. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the experiences. Each will be examined in relation to the needs of pupils with different abilities, backgrounds, interests and enthusiasms. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated a basic knowledge of the Syllabus Documents for years 11 and 12 in the Mathematics learning area and the principles underpinning the new post-compulsory system. Distinguished betweencontent and process objectives associated with Mathematics. Planned lessons using a variety of strategies and resources. Prepared, presented, analysed, evaluated and reflected on instructional strategies. Demonstrated a basic knowledge of investigation, discovery learning and problem solving as strategies to develop processes. Demonstrated the ability to use questioning techniques effectively. An understanding of the value of and demonstrate sound literacy and numeracy skills. |
