Syllabus: | Labour markets and economic analysis, labour supply, labour demand, education and training, internal labour markets, competitive and non competitive theories, segmentation and discrimination, wage structure, some macroeconomic issues, unemployment, the Australian wage setting system. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Identified recent trends and developments in the labour markets of Australia and South East Asia. Applied core economic concepts to human resource management issues. |
