Syllabus: | Training in communicative conversation and aural comprehension. Reading materials directly related to everyday life of university students in Japan containing intermediate level sentence structures and idiomatic expressions. Writing simple essays using Japanese language font on computer. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - The ability to comprehend everyday conversation and simple sentences aurally. The ability to communicate verbally on the topics such as travelling, housing, family and university life. The ability to comprehend complex written sentences with the aid of dictionaries and accurately type hiragana, katakana and kanji. |
