Syllabus: | Explores business issues relevant to seafood, fisheries and aquaculture industries in Australia. Business planning skills within these industries are developed through the examination and implementation of analytical techniques associated with market research, management, and project evaluation and research techniques. |

Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit students will have - The ability to write a comprehensive business plan related to the aquaculture or seafood industry. Developed market research skills and performed related field work. Conducted a SWOT analysis. Applied 'Project Evaluation and Research Technique' to a project management scenario in aquaculture and or seafood related industries. Examined processes, controls and regulations associated with the import, export and distribution of seafood products. Evaluated aspects of small business management as they relate to the local aquaculture industry. Developed skills required to prepare questionnaires for eliciting market research data for application in the seafood and aquaculture industries. |
