Syllabus:

The theme of Creative Illustration 392 is called Challenge 2. This unit introduces package and entrepreneurial illustration. Package illustration allows students to explore the 3D application of their designs. Entrepreneurial design allows students to beself-directed by writing their own specific briefs, subject to lecturer approval. Students are provided with a series of industry related briefs that are designed to enhance their conceptual design and ideas development skills. Students are also encouraged to develop critical visual language skills, which responds to and reflects the diversity of our multicultural society. Students develop an understanding that the meaning of effective visual communication depends on context, purpose and the viewers or market.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Worked with specific requirements of given briefs. Written clear and appropriate briefs with defined objectives. Gained experience in package and entrepreneurial illustration. Gained confidence in developing and using a variety of techniques. Explored and developed three-dimensional design ideas. Developed critical visual language skills.
