Syllabus: | An introduction to the legal aspects of contracts - identifying and achieving the requirements for a project, the formation of contracts. Tendering - Negotiating a contract, identifying the managing risk, contract administration, dispute resolution, arbitration and litigation. Actual tuition undertaken as 16 hours of class in a four day module. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Revised the essentials of the Law of Contract. An appreciation of the elements of the strategic procurement framework. Analysed legal procedural elements of mining engineering contract formation and management. Been introduced to elements of contractual dispute resolution, commercial arbitration and litigation. |
