Syllabus:

For advanced learners of the Chinese (Mandarin) language to improve their writing skills. It covers formal and informal writing styles from print and electronic media as well as theories and practices of translating to and from the Chinese language.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Gained and understanding of the characteristics and functions of a variety of formal and informal writing styles. Further developed skills necessary for handling Chinese textual material from theprint and electronic media. Improved their ability to express opinion in appropriate writing styles. Acquired some hands-on experience in translating to and from the Chinese language.
