Syllabus:

An overview of cultural dimensions of communication for effective conduct of business. In making connections between administration theory and cross-cultural business activity students will develop an understanding of verbal and non-verbal behaviours, examine cultural values, beliefs and actions and learn techniques for locating relevant cross-cultural information.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have the ability to make connections between administration theory and cross cultural business activities. Have an understanding of cross cultural communication patterns, both verbal and non-verbal. Be able to articulate cultural awareness of differing values and beliefs. Be able to locate and apply cross cultural information in a business environment.
