Syllabus:

Focus on new venture creation and growth and new product development processes. Attention is also given to the role of the entrepreneur in the growth cycle, financing of new ventures, controlling resources and building sustainable growth. Intrapreneuring via innovation in the larger firm or government agency is examined as well as facilitation of new innovative enterprise outcomes.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have an understanding of the relationship between entrepreneurial capabilities, innovation and enterprise and administrative capabilities, management skills and systems, and how one impedes or assists the other. Understanding of the factors assisting or impeding growth in technology-based enterprise is different from the management of other organisations.
