Syllabus:

A strong focus upon developing competency in Design Photographic process, management and practice, and is an introduction to vocational Photographic equipment, technique and procedure. Seeks to establish for students a contextual framework to facilitate their understanding of the principal theories influencing contemporary debate into the medium of photography. Students will develop a range of commercial illustrative photographic skills in both digital and film based mediums.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have developed - skills and competencies in the application of Photographic images to Design applications, technical skills and competencies in large format Camera systems, an intermediate knowledge and understanding of digital photographic acquisition systems, introductory Studio illustrative Photographic skills and competencies. Developed technical skills and competencies with dedicated Studio Flash systems and in archival film and print processing procedures.
