Syllabus:

Policies, projects and planned change within indigenous contexts. Preparation and monitoring of project budgets. Problem identification and analysis, negotiation and consultation within indigenous contexts, identification of stakeholders and potential impacts both of, and on indigenous projects. Broader policy impacts on both indigenous projects and project management practices of an Indigenous Community Management and Development Practitioner.
 

Unit Outcomes:

In addition to developing, monitoring and explaining a project budget, on successful completion of this unit, students will have- Described the purposes and process of pre-planning projects. Undertaken problem identification and analysis and describe the implications of both community and organisational values and agendas on the Indigenous Community Management and Development Practitioners role in local community project management.
