Syllabus: | Presentation of Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) principles and guidelines. Outline of the Australian qualifications framework and national training models and training packages, levels and the point system. |

Unit Outcomes: | At the completion of this unit, the student will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the structures, policy and practice of VET. Use the language of VET policy. Demonstrate a knowledge of the workplace and practices associated with training in the workplace. Establish effective partnerships with local business, industry and community organisations. Demonstrate a knowledge of the factors which have shaped current VET policy. Outline the elements of the Australian training reform agenda. Evaluate the implications and impact of current and future initiatives on VET in schools. Apply knowledge of VET policy to the implementation of a VET in schools program. |
