Syllabus:

Characteristics and causes of developmental language disorders and their effect on the social, emotional and educational development of the child. Classroom approaches to the identification of language disorders. Includes practical experience.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will demonstrate understanding of - The nature and causes of developmental language disorders. The social, emotional and educational consequences of language disorders. Approaches to identifying developmental speech and language disorders in the classroom.
