Syllabus:

Further clinical practice in dental hygienist procedures including patient assessment, preventive procedures and treatment procedures in accordance with relevant Acts. Practice management. Practical experience with patients with special needs.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Provided dental hygiene care for patients in accordance with relevant Acts. Presented, analysed and evaluated information in a clinical case study. Demonstrated effective communication with patients, members of the public and health professionals. Demonstrated the ability to practice in a professional manner.
