Syllabus:

Selected examples of architecture and interior design are used as case studies to illustrate the presence of ideas in built matter. A range of projects are analysed and discussed in terms of the conceptual qualities that underpin the physical manifestations of architecture and interior design.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Developed their critical skills in observing, visually representing and critiquing local architectural sites. Been introduced to, and have an appreciation of architecture as an 'idea', and experienced architecture as 'technique' and 'place'.
