Syllabus: | Internet and intranet tools for teachers. Authoring web pages using HTML and associated software. Using scripts to create interactive web pages. Creating a web site. Setting up and maintaining an intranet. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Used a text editor to create web pages by writing HTML. Used HTML generators, such as Microsoft Word, Publisher, and FrontPage. Created a web page containing a form. Used a web form to collect data, and reformat the data for use by a system such as Microsoft Excel. Published web pages by using FTP, HTTP, and a publishing system such as Microsoft FrontPage. Configured a computer so that it is able to connect to an ISP, Internet Service Provider. Set up a traditional email client on a stand-alone computer. Created and maintain a website. Used on-line learning resources, such as those found on the Internet, as well as those commonly built into the "help" systems which accompany many applications packages. |
