Syllabus: | Oil exploration geophysics. Seismic wave types, elastic theory. Refraction and reflection. Well logging. Field trips and laboratory exercises are designed to develop competence in acquisition and processing and interpretation of seismic and well log data. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- A fundamental understanding of the seismic exploration method and its application. |
