Area:

Department of Applied Physics

Credits:

12.5

Contact Hours:

2.0

Lecture:

2 x 1 Hours Weekly

Prerequisite(s):

1745 (v.5) Physical Measurements 102 or any previous version
AND
8648 (v.3) Mathematical Methods 201 or any previous version

Syllabus:

The Electromagnetic Model. Vector Analysis. Static Electric Fields. Laws of Coulomb and Gauss. The scalar potential. Capacitance. Time varying magnetic fields. Maxwell Equations. Plane electromagnetic waves.
