Syllabus: | Comprehension activities using written texts, audio and audiovisual materials which focus on Indonesian political traditions, contemporary trends in politics, the middle class and social change. Discussion, formal talks and translation - English to Indonesian and Indonesian to English. Not available to students educated through Indonesian or Malay. |

Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit students will have - Gained an understanding of the historical development of Bahasa Indonesia. Understood the vocabulary and expressions related to contemporary social issues, the language of Indonesian business and grammatical principles. |
