Syllabus: | Comprehension activities using written texts, audio and audiovisual materials which focus on Indonesian political traditions, contemporary trends in politics, the middle class and social change. Discussion, formal talks and translation - English to Indonesian and Indonesian to English. Not available to students educated through Indonesian or Malay. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Gained an understanding of the historical development of Bahasa Indonesia. An understanding of the vocabulary and expressions relating to contemporary social issues. An understanding of the language of Indonesian politics. An understanding of Grammatical principles. |
