Syllabus:

The topics to be covered will include - data analysis and cross tabulation, forecasting, time series models, regression models and qualitative models. Financial analysis - net present value and effective rate. Decision analysis - multi criteria analysis and decision trees. Linear programming, formulation of problems only.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Understood a range of quantitative and qualitative modelling techniques and their application to decision making. Gained a fundamental understanding of the methods of data collection, analysis and representation using the statistical package SPSS. Developed basic skills to cope with business related data, structure a complex decision. Discovered relationships and associations between variables and forecast a variable.
