Syllabus: | Neuroanatomy and associated disorders emphasising the cerebellum, cranial nerves and peripheral nervous system. Spinal cord meninges, blood supply of the central nervous system, basal ganglia, motor and sensory pathways, central nervous system pathologies including head injury, stroke, spinal cord lesions and ataxia. |

Unit Outcomes: | The aim of the unit is for the student to develop and be able to demonstrate knowledge about the anatomy and pathology of the nervous system and be able to recognise and interpret specific aspects of neurological disease or pathological processes that are relevant to clinical presentations and to the practice of physiotherapy. |
