Syllabus: | The software program development process, principles of structured programming, visual development, the event driven and component programming model, and use of a suitable Integrated Development Environment (IDE). |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Designed and developed programs using an Integrated Development Environment. Designed forms using visual components. Designed and coded event-driven programs. Programmed with multiple forms and units. Designed, coded, tested and debugged programs. Performed data validation and error-handling modules in programs. Used arrays, arrays of records and multi-dimensional arrays and other advanced data type in programs. Used the appropriate Input and Output methods in programs. |
