Syllabus:Response to time varying fields - induced polarisation, time and frequency domain. Electromagnetic methods, instruments and interpretation. Radioactivity - measuring techniques and their applications to assaying and radioactive dating. Seismic - elastic properties of rocks, reflection and refraction methods. Field trips and demonstrations in nearby locations.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Developed skills in communication and problem solving. Master in application of knowledge. An understanding of technology.
