Introduction
The farm management major provides business management education in a whole farm and agribusiness systems famework as it relates to commercial farming. Technical units including livestock and crop production are a major focus of this major. It aims to develop the individual talents and personalities of the students and equip them for a leadership role in the agricultural industry and the community in general, through the learning program that develops skills in communication, information literacy and teamwork. It also provides the graduate with the skills to assume managerial responsibilities of commercial framing operation, or to enter farm consulting practices, agricultural extension. Those intending to become teachers this major provides an initial qualification prior to undertaking teaching studies.
