Plastics and ceramic products. Plastics - review of types, joining, welding, electrical and thermal properties, mechanical properties, the effect of heat, flammability, manufacture and chemical properties, reinforcement. Rubbers - properties and applications. Clay based ceramics - structure and purpose of raw materials, production methods, properties, glazing. Structure of glasses and glazing.
