Exploration of constraints to crop production including cereals, pulses and oil seeds, in dryland Western Australia. An understanding of modelling as a means of optimising simple and complex cropping systems by examining the management of exogenous and endogenous driving variable to meet production, economic, quality, environmental, pest and disease control objectives. Principles of plant breeding and application of biotechnology to crop improvement. Post-harvest management of grains and pulses.
