What cells are made of and how these cellular components interact with each other. Interactions of specific biological molecules (biomolecules) and how these interactions are used to make "cells work". Introduction and preparation for subsequent units in the degree course. Become familiar with the language of biological science. Designed for those with little previous knowledge of biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, physics or mathematics. However, reading, some practical work and one project are expected.
