Physical, optical and electronic measurements. Use and adjustment of surveying instruments. Analysis and use of capabilities of various surveying techniques. Global position fixing systems. Sounding sextant, echo sounding and side scan sonar. Navigation, charts and cartography. Position fixing on land, at sea and underwater. Underwater survey techniques, ship lines, site location and search techniques. Site plans, photo mosaics and triangulation.
