An introduction to foreign language learning skills, pronunciation, basic grammar, vocabulary, and the Hiragana and Katakana scripts. Aural-oral training in simple daily conversation, presentation of basic cultural features of Japan through conversation and audio-visual aids. Not available to students whose first language is Japanese.
