| Syllabus: | This unit will use a body systems approach to assess, diagnose, plan, manage, document and evaluate patient care. Students will explore therapeutic interventions focussing on select primary health care initiatives aligned to the national health priorities. In this unit students will undertake simulated learning and complete designated hours of Professional Practice Experience (PPE) under supervision. This unit develops critical thinking, analytical problem solving, decision making and reflection through the demonstration of evidence based skills and health standards applicable to nursing practice. Students are expected to take responsibility for patient care appropriate to their level of scope. |
