Study Abroad and Exchange
Outbound Student Exchange
Currently enrolled Curtin students have the opportunity to participate in the student exchange program and spend one or two semesters abroad as part of their degree. Students can choose to study at any one of Curtin’s many partner institutions across Europe, Asia and North America. Students do not receive an award from the exchange University. On successful completion of studies abroad, students receive credit towards their Curtin degree.
Inbound Study Abroad and Exchange
Curtin offers students from abroad the opportunity to undertake studies at the University. Students receive credit towards their home university degree (they do not receive a Curtin award). In order for students to be considered for the exchange program, there must be a reciprocal arrangement between Curtin and their home university. If your university does not have a reciprocal arrangement with Curtin, you can apply as a study abroad student. In both cases, you will need to contact your international adviser at your home university.

Research Courses at Curtin
Curtin's Office of Research and Development coordinates all higher degree by research courses across the University in conjunction with faculties, and research institutes and centres. Curtin's researchers seek innovative solutions to real-world problems. Research courses are offered at doctoral and masters level. Research doctorates are available through all faculties. The range of available discipline-based doctoral and master degrees by research (master of philosophy) is documented within this handbook in association with entries for each faculty (see the table of contents). Students considering undertaking a research degree should visit the Office of Research.
