Introduction

This major is specifically designed to meet the needs of managers and others involved in occupational health and safety operations that integrate environmental management concerns with occupational health and safety. It is designed to advance knowledge and skills in the prevention of work related disease and injury and integration of environmental protection with management of occupational health and safety. Students are provided with opportunities to specialise and undertake research in occupational health, occupational hygiene, safety and risk management, ergonomics, occupational medicine, environmental management and other related areas. Those demonstrating excellence in research will have the opportunity to continue to doctoral studies.
