Introduction

Illustration is both a traditional and contemporary visual communication medium, and professional illustrators find individual creative solutions to visual communication problems. This major focuses on the exploration and development of ideas through theuse of skills and processes from within a wide range of traditional and emerging technologies. It promotes skills required for professional illustration practice and provides a theoretical framework for understanding national and international trends within the design industry.
